Community Grants

Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards®

The Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards program was created in 2015 to honor the legacy of Truett Cathy. Through these annual grants, it is our pleasure to celebrate and support non-profit organizations making an impact in their local communities. The grants range from USD 30,000 to USD 350,000, with USD 6 million awarded to date since 2015 to non-profit organizations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico, Canada and the United Kingdom.

In 2026, Singapore will award the first Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award recipient.

“The leadership development, mentorship and hospitality job training that Old Skool Cafe provides to at-risk youth in San Francisco creates unparalleled opportunities for economic mobility. This generous grant from Chick-fil-A will help Old Skool Cafe continue to transform the lives of underserved young people in the Bay Area for years to come.”

Chick‑fil‑A Shared Table® Food Donation Program

More than 2,200 Chick‑fil‑A® restaurants across the United States and Puerto Rico, and Canada participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which helps local Owner-Operators donate surplus food to charitable organizations in their community. In Singapore, the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program will work with Food Bank Singapore, in support of its beneficiaries.

Caring for Team Members

Most restaurants are locally owned and operated, with Owner-Operators taking a hands-on approach—working side by side with their Team Members, building and fostering a positive work culture.

Additionally, the Owner-Operators of Chick‑fil‑A restaurants typically aim to add a positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities and advancing opportunities for others. Owner-Operators support their Team Members who, in turn, take care of restaurant customers.

A positive work environment

Throughout our restaurants, Support Centers and subsidiaries, more than 200,000 people represent the Chick-fil-A brand. From wellness hours and community volunteering opportunities at the Singapore Support Center, to leadership & training development opportunities in Chick-fil-A restaurants, we aim to provide a place where people can thrive and belong.

Community Support

Every day, thousands of Chick‑fil‑A Owner-Operators, restaurant Team Members and Staff live out Truett Cathy’s powerful idea that ‘a great company is a caring company’, working to create impactful change in their local neighbourhoods throughout our active markets.

Moreover, and as part of Chick‑fil‑A’s longstanding mission to aid in the fight against food insecurity, every time we open a new restaurant, we’re donating SGD 25,000 to Food Bank Singapore in celebration of each new restaurant opening.

Sustainability

We are committed to reducing food waste, taking a “cook less, more often” approach, serving freshly prepared food while reducing food waste.

Powering positive change

We understand the importance of innovative and alternative energy sources and encourage our local Owner-Operators to follow best practices. We’re also exploring new energy-saving opportunities, like piloting a solar-powered microgrid system in two Chick-fil-A restaurants in California.

Focusing on our planet

At Chick‑fil‑A, we take great care in how we source our ingredients and partner with suppliers.
