Chick-fil-A to Open First Restaurant in Asia at Bugis+ Singapore on 11 December 2025

November 4, 2025

Milestone commemorated with S$25,000 donation to The Food Bank Singapore in support of local food assistance efforts

SINGAPORE (November 4, 2025) – Chick-fil-A®, the third largest quick-service restaurant company in the United States, today announced the opening of its first franchised Restaurant in Asia at Bugis+ in Singapore. The restaurant will welcome Guests starting on Thursday, 11 December 2025, marking a historic milestone in the international expansion of the Chick-fil-A brand and the start of the company’s 10-year, US$75 million investment in the region.

Located at Bugis+, 201 Victoria Street #01-19 Singapore 188067, the locally owned and operated restaurant business will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering both dine-in and takeaway service. As with all Chick-fil-A locations worldwide, the restaurant will be closed on Sundays. Closing on Sunday is a tradition that dates back to Chick-fil-A’s founder Truett Cathy, who wanted to give his employees a day to rest, spend time with family, or worship if they chose to – and the brand continues to honor that sentiment today.

Caring for the Singapore Community

Chick-fil-A is committed to giving back to the local community by:

  • Donating an additional S$25,000 to The Food Bank Singapore for each new restaurant opened in Singapore.

“Caring for people has always been at the heart of Chick-fil-A’s purpose,” said Hugh Park, Head of Asia Pacific Operations at Chick-fil-A (Asia) Pte Ltd. “As we begin this next chapter in Singapore, we are honored to partner with The Food Bank Singapore to help strengthen food support for those who need it most. This partnership reflects our long-standing commitment to making a positive impact in the communities we serve.”

The Chick-fil-A Bugis+ restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local non-profit partners. The program has helped create more than 42 million meals globally. In Singapore, surplus food from the restaurant will support beneficiaries of The Food Bank Singapore, furthering the company’s commitment to providing food assistance worldwide.

“We are deeply grateful to Chick-fil-A for their generous contribution and heartfelt commitment to supporting our mission. Partnerships like this remind us that when businesses and communities come together with shared purpose, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it most. This collaboration marks the beginning of a meaningful journey, and we look forward to growing this partnership over the long term to nourish hope and create impact together,” said Dr Arthur Chin, Executive Director of The Food Bank Singapore.

Locally Owned and Operated

Chick-fil-A’s distinctive franchise model empowers local Owner-Operators to be hands-on leaders who work side by side with their Team Members and actively engage with their communities.

Chick-fil-A Bugis+ will be locally owned and operated by Chyn Koh, the first independent Chick-fil-A franchisee in Singapore. Born and raised in Singapore, Chyn brings more than two decades of food and beverage experience and will oversee daily operations for his restaurant business, invest in Team Member development and lead local community engagement initiatives.

“Opening Chick-fil-A’s first restaurant in Asia is both an incredible honor and responsibility, and I am personally dedicated to leading it with heart,” says Koh. “For me, this is more than operating a business. It’s about building a space where care is genuine, Team Members are supported to grow, and every Guest can enjoy great food while feeling truly welcome and valued.”

The restaurant will create between 60 to 80 new job opportunities, reinforcing Chick-fil-A’s commitment to providing pathways for growth and upward mobility for Team Members around the world.
